Eric
MacCluen Golf Academy
PGA Professional Eric MacCluen developed the Eric MacCluen Golf
Academy with the intention of making golf accessible to everyone
in the Delaware Valley. His love for the game motivates him to not
only refine the techniques of highly skilled players, but also to
teach proper basics to beginners. His commitment to teenagers has
brought approximately 100 college scholarships and his numerous
camps have allowed children as young as 4 years old to have fun
as they are taught new skills. Eric has been a PGA member since
1994, and has been awarded the Top 50 Kids teacher from 2004 thru
2007. In 2008, he was awarded the Top 50 Master Teacher Award. Among
his achievements, Eric was an All American at Greensboro College,
a Philadelphia Section PGA Junior Golf Leader in 1998, received
the D.S.G.A Annual Award in 1999, and was the Philadelphia Section

Teaching Principles:
In life and in golf, balance is essential. When a player swings
the club from start to finish in balance, they will be able to develop
a repeatable and efficient motion. My objective is to develop each
student through sound fundamentals, proper swing mechanics and accurately
fit equipment that will enhance their golf swing. I will achieve
this by working together with the student to develop a systematic
approach that allows them to gain the confidence needed to improve
their golf skills.

Mental Coach
Focus-Confidence-Lower Scores
Golf is a challenging game and many golfers are frustrated with
their performance. The most overlooked area that will make the biggest
difference is the MENTAL GAME of GOLF. Golfers have struggled to
find ways to be consistent through traditional golf instruction
or buying the latest state of the art driver. Peak performance in
golf is the ability to integrate your mind, body, and swing to shoot
lower scores and with an increased enjoyment of the game.
What Rick Sessinghaus, Golfs Mental Coach teaches
is a system of improvement that integrates these three factors.
The psychology of golf has become more accepted as a way to lower
scores, yet so many are still confused about what it is and how
to apply it to their game.
